Attorneys: Laurie Ratliff
Ikard Golden Jones represents individuals and companies in appellate litigation and trial court legal issue support. We represent clients in appellate matters in a variety of substantive law areas, including fiduciary litigation, will contests, probate and guardianship, ad valorem taxation, and family law.
Appellate and original proceedings
IGJ's appellate practice handles all aspects of an appeal or an original proceeding in the intermediate appellate courts and the Texas Supreme Court. Ikard Golden Jones also assists lawyers at other firms on appellate procedural issues, brief writing, and oral argument preparation. IGJ also participates in cases through preparation of amicus briefs.
Trial court support
In the trial court, IGJ assists trial attorneys both within and outside the firm with drafting pre-trial motions and briefs on legal issues, in summary judgment practice and discovery disputes. Our representation also includes providing trial support on jury charges, error preservation and post-trial motions, with a focus on the strategy for a successful appeal.
